Quality & Product Safety
How we check, source, and stand behind everything we sell.
At Starbelly, we take product safety and accurate labelling seriously across every category we sell — from fresh produce to pantry staples to household essentials.
Because we source branded products from a wide range of manufacturers, detailed safety and compliance information (ingredients, materials, certifications, care instructions) is provided by the manufacturer and displayed on the product's packaging.
1 Categories We Stock
Different product categories carry different safety and compliance standards. Here's what we sell, and what to check for each:
2 Manufacturer Labelling
Products supplied by Starbelly are sold as originally packaged by the manufacturer, and compliance information (ingredients, materials, safety warnings) is clearly displayed on that packaging in accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations.
Customers should always:
- Check the packaging before use, gifting, or resale.
- Review labels every time, as formulations and materials may change between batches.
- Not rely solely on website descriptions for safety-critical details.
- Contact us if packaging appears to differ from what's shown on the product page.
3 Age Ratings & Safety Warnings
Where applicable (toys, small parts, food products), products carry manufacturer age ratings and safety warnings on their packaging in line with relevant consumer safety standards.
Starbelly does not alter or re-label manufacturer-sealed products unless legally required to do so.
4 Storage & Handling Disclaimer
Although we maintain organised, professional warehouse systems:
- We handle a wide variety of products across many categories.
- We take reasonable care during storage and handling, but cannot guarantee a zero-risk environment for sensitive items.
- Customers with specific sensitivities (e.g. allergies, material sensitivities) should check packaging carefully and contact us before purchase if clarification is needed.
5 Responsibility of Wholesale & Business Customers
Wholesale buyers and business customers are responsible for:
- Conducting their own product safety risk assessments where relevant.
- Verifying compliance information directly from packaging.
- Complying with applicable consumer safety legislation in their jurisdiction.
- Providing accurate product information to their own end customers.
6. Contact for Product Safety Enquiries
If you need clarification on a product's materials, ingredients, or safety information before purchase, please contact our team. We'll make reasonable efforts to help, but ultimate responsibility remains with the customer to verify product labelling.
